Synopsis
In a dilapidated house, a relic of a bygone era resides DOLORES (in her 50s), a robust yet timid woman who cares for her mother, MAGNOLIA (in her 80s), and her aunt, INES (in her 70s), who is afflicted by advanced senile dementia. Following the death of MARIA (in her 100s), the family’s matriarch, PEREGRINA (in her 80s), the long-lost sister of Magnolia and Ines, returns after years of absence.
Peregrina’s return marks the beginning of a journey through the family’s history, dominated by ghosts of the past and unhealed traumas. This upheaval forces them to break the bonds that have kept them confined within the house, where the walls have stories to tell and mongrel dogs arrive to guide them toward freedom.
