FERNANDO IRIARTE

Fernando Iriarte is a Colombian filmmaker.  He has an MFA degree in Film from Columbia University, where he also taught Screenwriting to undergraduate students.  

 

Fernando is currently developing his short film produced by Paola Andrea Pérez Nieto and Inercia Películas.  The project was endorsed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, who is now an executive producer.  Fernando is also in development with his first feature film, "Mountain Sorrow."  Fernando was the producer of "Tropicalia," which premiered at the Rotterdam and San Sebastian film festivals, and worked as a staff writer for Fidelio Films, where he developed projects for Netflix, HBO, Gaumont, and  Amazon Prime.
