BANE FAKIH

Bane Fakih is a Lebanese director based in Beirut.  Her first short film, Assil and Jad, was awarded Best Short at the European Film Festival of Beirut, Best Student Film in Nadi Li Kol El-Nass, Best Screenplay at the NYC International Film Festival. Bane holds an MFA degree in Screenwriting/Directing at Columbia University where she was awarded the Ezra Litwak Award for Distinction in Screenwriting.

 

She wrote and directed Vibes, which screened at OutFest, Palm Springs ShortFest, Berlin Feminist Week, FilmOut San Diego, Reelout and OutWest Film Festival.  Her feature screenplay, Keep It Together, got selected  by the Tribeca Film Institute for the Tribeca All Access 2019 program and grant.  The short screenplay version got selected for the Through Her Lens, Chanel 2019 program at the Tribeca Film Institute. In 2020, Bane wrote and directed one of eight short films in a series about the Lebanese uprising in 2019.
